Call for Papers - 2010 ASLA Annual Conference
The 2010 Texas ASLA Conference Committee offers ASLA members and related professionals the opportunity to submit a written proposal for an oral presentation with graphics at the 2010 Texas ASLA conference to be held in San Antonio, Texas on March 11-12, 2010.
Proposals will be selected for possible continuing education session presentations with the goal of educating fellow professionals with health, safety, and welfare criteria, sustainability techniques, principals and practices. While providing the latest information on industry research, practices, and design. Our 2010 conference is to be focused on three areas that benefit landscape architect’s continuing education.
1) “The Process” which encompasses many areas like Marketing, Contracts/Pro-Practice, Design Process/Visioning Documents, Design Development and Pricing, Negotiations, Construction Administration discussions.
2) “Landscapes/Case Studies” which could encompass process, historic landscapes, culturally significant sites, art in the landscape, residential design issues, etc., with benefit to the profession and the public.
3)“Green/Sustainable Practices”. This could include presentations on “Smart Planning”, “Green Roofs-Design, showing benefits to the public”, “Transit Oriented Developments; Designs and Benefits”, “Environmental Water Restoration or Preservation” and many others to be considered.
Deadline EXTENDED: Written proposals including the attached application must be received by September 30, 2009 to be considered by the program committee
